Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington (Greek American) is a Greek American writer, syndicated-columnist and businesswoman. She is a founder of The Huffington Post and the chief executive officer of Thrive Global. Author of more than 15 books. Arianna Huffington has worked as an actor, journalist as well as a philanthropist, author and journalist for more than 10 years. She also is the proprietor of The Huffington Post, an independent, liberal online newsmagazine. Born in Greece Arianna Huffington emigrated to England with her family at the age of 16. In Cambridge University she earned a MA degree in Economics. The first non-English student, she was elected president of The Cambridge Union' at age 21. Her success as a conservative columnist was consolidated after she finished her degree. After the launch of The Huffington Post a few months later, she launched an online platform for voice that gave critiques of the state of the nation's politics. The fame of Arianna led to the recruitment of a variety of renowned contributors. Arianna became famous when she ran for California's recall election, replacing then Governor Davis. Aside from that, Arianna was also the leader of the Detroit initiative that promoted fuel efficient cars. Forbes named her the most powerful woman in the field of media in 2009. She ranked in the 12th spot on Forbes' list. The Guardian also included her on the list of top 100 media outlets in the year 2009. AOL bought The Huffington Post from AOL in 2011. Then she was appointed the President of the AOL media group. It included a number of AOL owned properties like Engadget AOL Style List and Patch Media. The parents of her were Elli and Konstantinos Stasinopoulos. They were a management consultant and journalist. The way she lived her life was determined through her relationship with her mother and her bond with her dad, even though she was very close to him. From her early years, she demonstrated leadership skills that remain highly respected. at the age of 16 she emigrated into the United Kingdom to pursue her studies and enrolled in Girton College Cambridge. She enrolled in Cambridge Union, the Cambridge Union college debate society while in college in which she became the third and first female to hold the position of president. In 1972, her master's in Economics was awarded. Following her degree she became a columnist, critic and a host on TV. The appearance she made in Face the music with Bernard Levin was a notable one. She began to write books, taking his help to edit.
