Fawn Mckay

Fawn Brodie McKay was born September 15, 1915, was raised in Ogden Utah. Fawn MacKay, born into the Mormon Church's first family, applied her brilliant writing skills as well as her impressive research skills in order to write the psycho-historical biographies of Joseph Smith. The book, No Man has a clue about My History was published in 1945. That title was taken from a funeral sermon given by the founding father of the Church of Latter-Day Saints in 1844 when he startled those he addressed with the words: You don't know me you never knew my heart. Nobody has known about my past. I can't tell. Fawn, a 29-year-old woman has written: "Since that moment of truthfulness, three or more writers have picked up the task." The documents do not lack however they contradict each the other. It's a daunting job to find these records by separating the first-hand versions from the third-hand versions and then combining Mormon stories with other ones into a coherent mosaic.
